Off to a hot start: October Recap

Miami caps off October as division leaders with at 5-1. The Heat started their season strong with a home victory against the Milwaukee Bucks. They would later come up short to bitter rivals, Indiana Pacers, in a 102-91 defeat in overtime. Miami would bounce back and start a four-game winning streak against Orlando, Charlotte, Brooklyn, and Memphis to wrap up their first month of the season.

Miami enjoyed plenty of offense from multiple players. Tyler Herro was red-hot to start. He scored 27 against the Bucks and 30 in the OT loss to the Pacers. Bam Adebayo also had a big night against the Brooklyn Nets. He posted a team-high 24 points and nine rebounds against the Nets. Heat captain Jimmy Butler led the Heat in scoring against the Magic, Hornets, and Grizzlies. The Heat is off to a great start. Collecting early wins on the road and home will work wonders to boost the fans and chemistry in a long NBA season.
